TitleStone Tool - Pebble ScraperObject TypeFirst NationsDescriptionThis pebble scraper was discovered by the donor in the 1960s, Reddall Parade, Lake Illawarra South.
The scraper has a turtle shell-shaped rounded top, circular banding on the top surface, and an almost flat bottom surface. Flakes have been removed from the bottom edge to resharpen the tool over time.
Tools were often refashioned for a different purpose, with smaller implements being created from the fragments when a larger tool broke. The process of sharpening and reworking an existing tool is known as retouching. DonorScholz, Chris
