In the 1841 English Census Mary Ann was living with her parents and siblings at New Bond Street, Hanover Square. Her father's occupation was a furrier, and this was the occupation listed on his Immigration Report.

She arrived in Sydney with her father and siblings on 26 March 1849. The ship was quarantined on arrival, not docking in Sydney until 13 April 1849. According to family history her mother Helena died on the journey to Australia.

Mary Ann married Cubitt Arnold in 1859 at Glebe N.S.W.

Mary Ann died 23 March 1909 and was buried in the Shellharbour Cemetery.
