NameTullimbarPlace of ResidenceMacquarie Valley.BiographyTullimbar (or Tullimbah or Tullumbah) was an Aboriginal Elder who lived in Macquarie Valley at the time of early European settlement, about 1830-1840.
Tullimbar camped at Tongarra, near the foot of Macquarie Pass.
Local resident David Lindsay Dymock, in 1951, recalled that Tullimbar was fond of johnny cakes which were type of soda bread rolled out flat and baked in a frying pan. Tullimbar reputedly traded cabbage palm frond brooms for the cakes.
