John Thomas (Tom) Jolliffe was born at Dapto in 1865, to John Jolliffe and Celina/Selina Plucknett. The residence listed on his baptism records from 1866, is Yalla (Yallah).
Tom married Edith Jane Reiman (nee Arney) at Helensburgh in 1903 and they had six children; Jack, Violet (Swan), Rubena, Thomas, Ethel, and Ivy (Hazelton). Edith had been married previously and two children; Hildora and Julius.
The Jolliffe's came to Tongarra about 1920 and took up farming.

Tom and Edith's son John, married Annie Hazelton in 1935.

Tom and Edith's son, Thomas Albert married Nellie Kathleen Swan in 1937. In the 1940's they moved from Jamberoo to Yellow Rock, where they farmed.
