Richard and Mary had six children; Thomas, John, Catherine, Michael, Sarah and Robert.
Michael had the old cottage demolished and built a new cottage which was occupied by widowed Catherine and her three children. Upon his retirement as a school teacher he returned and lived in the home until his death aged 85.
