NameKing, (Moses Branch)DescriptionThe King's came to Australia from County Tyrone, Ireland aboard 'The Herald' in 1841.They were sponsored by Gilchrist and Alexander.

William and Mary King had eleven children; Moses, John, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Isabella, William, Dixon, Sarah Jane, Samuel, Alice, and Isaac.

The family settled at Omega Retreat, Kiama, where William worked a clearing lease.

William and Mary's son Moses King, married Janet Russell, daughter of Ebenezer Russell and Jane Meek, at Kiama in 1855. Moses and Janet had 11 children.

Moses King Jnr married Jane McGill, daughter of James McGill and Isabella Russell, in 1888. Moses III's sister Sarah Ann, married Jane's brother, Ebenezer John McGill in 1909.

The King's farmed mostly in the Kiama, Jamberoo and Croom areas.
