Description
Young Timothy Ryan was the son of Timothy Ryan Snr. and Mary nee Creagan of Shellharbour.
Timothy was killed while testing of the Owen gun at Lysaghts Port Kembla in June 1942.
Timothy was a target spotter and was killed during a re-load while marking the target.
Aged only 17 years Timothy was the first victim of the Owen Gun.
The Ryan family lived at the Old Minnamurra School House in Swamp Road.
